Tessellations frequently appeared in the art of M. C. Escher, and can be seen throughout history – from ancient architecture, to modern art. In short, a tessellation is a collection of figures that are able to fill the surface with no overlaps and no gaps. Best example of what I’m talking about can be seen in this post. However, today’s tessellation places another interesting effect in center of our attention . Observe the image below, move your eyes all over it, and you should see the tiles have started to spin!
